During the early years of his career, he practiced in the area of insurance defense. Commencing in the later 1990s, Mr. Lovretovich began to shift his practice to the representation of the rights of the individual through litigation on behalf of numerous senior citizens regarding their claims for fraudulent misrepresentation against certain national security brokerages. Since that time, he has concentrated his practice on the representation of individuals in their claims against large corporate entities.

He has been principal counsel on Colmenares v. Braemar Country Club, which has substantially expanded the definition of disability in California; has successfully argued the case of Dee v. Vintage Petroleum, which added substantial protections for the victims of racial prejudice; and O'Hare v. MBIA, which has further defined the rights of employees as parties to pre-employment mandatory arbitration agreements. He is a member of the State Bar of California, The National Employment Lawyers Association, The California Employment Lawyers Association, the Los Angeles and Ventura County Bar Associations, and the Consumer Attorneys' Association of Los Angeles. He has lectured on "Representing Clients in Hard Times" and presented the Los Angeles County Bar seminar on "Disability Law".
