Jennifer A. Lipski is a Partner at JML Law, heading up the law, motion, and appellate department.

Jennifer (“Jenni”) Lipski is a Partner based out of JML Law’s Los Angeles office and is the Managing Attorney of JML Law’s Law and Motion Department. Jenni has been interested in employment law and employee rights since before law school, and her passion for employee rights was affirmed during law school when she worked for plaintiff-side employment law firms, including JML Law. After graduating from Pepperdine University School of Law, Jenni returned to JML Law, where she enjoys dedicating her entire career to helping clients who have experienced injustices in the workplace. During the first five years of her law career, Jenni was on one of JML Law’s litigation teams, handling dozens of active cases at any given time, from inception to conclusion, including meeting with clients and witnesses, attending hearings, drafting pleadings, defending and taking depositions, engaging in settlement negotiations through both private mediations and informal negotiations directly with opposing counsel, and preparing for trial or arbitration. Then, in 2015, Jenni transitioned from handling the day-to-day litigation of cases to leading the firm’s newly created Law and Motion Department, handling nearly all the firm’s motion and appellate work and the corresponding hearings and oral arguments. She has also taken on supervision of the firm’s part-time and summer law clerks and enjoys mentoring new associates as well.

During her early career at JML Law, Jenni litigated and successfully resolved hundreds of cases for her client’s benefit. Since starting the Law and Motion (and Appeals) Department, Jenni has continued to thrive and help the firm’s clients, including with the following accomplishments:

Jenni was also lead counsel on two cases before the United States Supreme Court during the Court’s 2019 term and was part of the first set of cases, in May 2020, to ever be argued by telephone (due to the pandemic). In addition, for years, Jenni has traveled to Sacramento to meet with senators, assembly members, and their staff as part of an effort to lobby for various pro-employee bills, some of which were ultimately signed into law in California.

When not working for her clients, Jenni enjoys traveling and spending time with her family in Arizona. She also enjoys staying active by biking, skiing, playing tennis, and jogging with her golden retriever, Napoleon and has recently begun practicing aerial yoga.
